Poor Farm

On Saturday I found myself near Ashland, VA.  I don’t get up that direction much anymore… I went for a friend’s kid’s 6th birthday party.  It was at one of those places with big moon bouncy type things.  This one lets adults bounce around on the slides and moon walks so I had fun falling down a lot.  After the party I decided to go up the road to Poor Farm Park.  I’d been once before without a camera (I had my phone…those pics may show up sometime) so I thought it’d be a good chance to get some nature shots.  I tried another panorama in the woods – I think the tripod would come in handy for those in the future. Less editing and cropping.

Here’s what I saw.  Enjoy.

Sometimes The Best Laid Plans…

…are rained out.  I had a plan to take some photos today but alas I couldn’t beat Mother Nature.  So for this rainy afternoon Wednesday post I decided to dig through the many many many photos I have and post some random shots.  No rhyme or reason, just ones I have that have not been posted.  I also have a plan to add a Portfolio type page of the best ones from each folder…the best one at Belle Isle…the best one at Maymont…that kind of thing.   I have a lot to go through to find ones I think are “the best”.  It may take a while.  It’ll give you something to look forward to. In the meantime here’s some shots to look at.

Enjoy.
